So…who remembers the “most awesome” school supply treasure from the 1980’s?? Hmmmm…I’m going to go with the “Trapper Keeper”!! Who’s with me!? For most kids this week was the beginning of a new school year, and although our pandemic environment is less than desirable (to say the least), the hope that comes with the beginning of a new year springs eternal for sure.
Speaking of hope, this season’s desire to still serve our friends at Hope Supply Company is top of mind. They provide diapers and other essentials to social service organizations, including homeless shelters, transitional living centers, school districts and state agencies. They have a network of 70+ partner agencies, ensuring that items given go directly to the families and children that need them the most. They also provide school supplies and backpacks. This way children and parents can focus on the future, rather than any current unmet needs.
For the past few months, we've continued to do pickups from our clients home or office for any of the items listed above, and deliver them directly to Hope Supply Co. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you’d like to have a pickup scheduled, and I’ll come out when convenient! For more information about their mission, please visit http://www.hopesupplyco.org
Here’s to helping our kids develop a new routine during this time. New clothes, school supplies…even new haircuts to launch them into their new experience!
We wish everyone a healthy beginning to the Fall months ahead. We’re that much closer to 2021! ☺
